there will never be a 'new black'
We consider Laurel Hill Cemetery to be our home away from home. We’ve spent countless hours reading, drinking, laughing, picnicing, and napping in the grass in the shade of those gigantic obelisk grave monuments. Anytime someone comes to visit, it’s our first stop on the Way Gother Philadelphia tour.
Laurel Hill as a cemetery alone is more than we could have ever asked for or imagined, but they have so many other rad things going on! A few weekends ago we had the pleasure of seeing The Bailey Hounds perform at sunset and well into the lightening bug filled evening. The cemetery also hosts monthly “lunar strolls” where you’re guided, camera in hand, across the grounds at night for amazing photo opportunities.
This Friday, the 27th of June, Laurel Hill will be hosting their 2nd Annual Cinema in the Cemetery. This year’s feature film is ‘Carnival of Souls‘ and if you are within a hundred miles of Philly on friday night, you better be there. We give you our Way Gother promise that you won’t be disappointed.
So bring a blanket, a bottle of wine and lay back and enjoy the movie.
